New tracks uploaded to Celticmelt
I have just uploaded 7 new tracks from the soundtrack of one of the best SF films in the past many years. Namely, Joss Whedon’s Serenity. (check it out, and don’t say “I don’t like science fiction!”, that’s not a good enough response).
The soundtrack by David Newman, is not a great one as far as soundtracks go, but it has its moments. And works very well for the film although die-hard Whedon fans would still have prefered Gregg Edmondson’s lyrical music from the TV show that the movie is based upon.
In the meantime, rent Serenity, pop some popcorn and see what Star Wars could have been. Then of course you’ll have to rent DVDs of the short-lived TV series the movie is based on, and when you’ve finished the 12 episode you’ll curse Fox, fist shaking in the air, for cancelling one of the best things on TV, years before its time.
These new tracks now bring the total trackcount to my main playlist up to 1561, or over 101 hours of music.

It took a while, but I have finally found your blog. Great work guys (or is there only one of you?). I have to work late at the office just about every day and I couldn’t do it without Celtic Melt to keep me awake and in the right frame of mind.
Besides that I have discovered / re-discovered many bands on CM and bought a lot of CD’s as a result (raisers of royalty rates take note). The most amazing re-discovery for me was Amazing Blondel whom I had’nt heard since 1973! I now have three of their CD’s.
Keep up the good work. I would be happy to pay a higher subscription to cover increased royalties.

I’m into CelticMelt for about two years, listening to your fantastic blend of celtic music nearly every day! Living in Germany I love to discover the colourful northern american celtic music scene. Thanks for this!
On my wishlist are some pieces of Cara Dillon, a great irish singer, btw the sister of the former Deanta singer Mary Dillon.
And a special recommendation: the german celtic folk’n beat band The Aberlour’s (http://www.aberlours.de). A fine sound between Jethro Tull and Oyster Band
